Jimmy Pedro Jr., the Judo Coach, mentor, teacher, and friend of 2012 Gold medalist Kayla Harrison talks about the sacrifices and specialists he assembled to help Kayla achieve the first gold medal ever awarded to a US Olympian in Judo.
Jimmy Pedro Jr. is a talented athlete in his own right winning two bronze medals in the Olympics and a World Judo Champion as well. Jimmy and his dad own Pedro’s Judo Center in Wakefield, Massachusetts. Jimmy is an all around talent; being able to teach solid Judo fundamentals and address the whole person not just their athletic moves. This quality makes Jimmy and his Father two of a kind with special talents that separate them from all the other coaches in the field of Judo.
