Kim Simmonds is also joining the Blues Fest at the Palm Casino along with Edgar Winter and Rick Derringer. Kim hails from Wales and says he added “boogie” to his music because he liked it. His band, Savoy Brown, is world famous. Savoy Brown paved the way for Led Zeppelin and many other bands that followed. Kim is still going strong after all these years.
Rick Derringer had a few memorable hit songs and is still working gigs all over the globe. Rick has opened for the Rolling Stones and many other famous bands. Rick has been on the road for 47 years and has no intention of slowing down now.
